Biobrush Children's Toothbrush

Shade
Before leftover wood is converted into electricity or heat in thermal power plants, we make toothbrushes out of it - and that is almost CO²-neutrally. Only a few fossil raw materials are used in our organic toothbrush and its packaging. Leftovers from the wood processing industry are used for our bioplastics and our film. Our brush handle and packaging are made from this.
  • We use nylon made from castor oil for the bristles of our organic toothbrush. From a dental point of view, nylon is still the ideal hygienic material according to independent dentists.
  • Only small amounts of fossil raw materials are used to manufacture the plastic, the bristles and the packaging. For the bioplastic of our biobrush, wood residues are processed, which are often burned directly.
  • The wood comes from sustainable forestry (certificate available).
  • Since hardly any fossil raw materials are stored in our brush, it burns almost CO2-neutral at the end of its lifetime.
  • Biodegradable- Our colours correspond to the current DIN EN 13432. Our bioplastic is biodegradable according to DIN EN ISO 14855 and our award-winning packaging is even garden compostable<
  • Our stem is biodegradable. The castor oil-based nylon bristles and the anchoring of our biobrush, which make up about 6% of the total weight of the brush, are not yet biodegradable! Another equally hygienic AND biodegradable bristle material is not yet available industrially. The bristles would remain in the industrial compost as a non-rotting residue.  So - back with the biobrush in the green bin!
