Divine Spices Butterfly Pea Powder 10g

Butterfly Pea powder has a natural blue pigment and is high in polyphenols and anthocyanins and can be used as a tea, to make blue 'Matcha', to give a blue tint to cocktails or as a natural food colouring.

Our butterfly pea powder is selected from flowers naturally grown in Central Java on the organic farm of our friends: Imas and her husband Megan. It is grown in an organic garden in a tropical climate. Hand-picked and ground into a fine powder for your enjoyment!

Processed as Matcha, ground to a fine powder. No fermentation takes place during production, and no dyes or any other additives are added. It is dried in two phases, first in the sun and then in a RAW dryer at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

Drinks, desserts, puddings, pastries/baking, ice cream, hot and cold drinks, milk drinks, cocktails, smoothies,…there are so many ways to use it! You can prepare 10 drinks from this 20 g package.

  1. The recommended portion size for a 300ml drink is 0.5 grams or 1/2 Tsp. We recommend that you mix the kit well first in warm water and only then prepare a drink from it according to your wishes.
  2. Mix with light colours to get the most colourful result and the most vivid results. (Bananas, mangoes, vegetable milk, etc.).
  3. Mix with a fruit drink to get a beautiful shade of blue. Then add lemon juice to change the colour of your drinks from blue to purple
  4. This powder is particularly suitable for use in hot foods such as rice, pasta and home-baked bread, as it retains its colour even when heated. You can also use it to create the famous “Blue Chai Tea” on the Internet and much more. Creativity is your only limit!

This powder is PH-sensitive and reacts to acidic liquids such as lemon by changing its color from blue to purple / purple.

If you want to change the color of the drink, mix our powder with alkaline ingredients (lime / lemon juice) and watch it change from blue to the coolest shades of green! Royal lemonades can be prepared from it.
