Using propolis, bees cleanse their hive of all sorts of impurities. They seal any potential source of infection inside this resinous, richly nutritious substance. It is only thanks to propolis that they have survived to the present day. This honey contains 0.5% propolis. The recommended daily allowance for an adult is 1 teaspoon per day. Not suitable for children or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some natural settling can occur – stir as necessary.
