We cultivate our organic red Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) mushrooms on a wood-rich substrate, Duanwood (original wood logs), where Reishi grows naturally, resulting in a potent and high-quality reishi extract with the most bio-active constituents available.
Reishi contains two bioactive compounds: beta-D-glucans and triterpenes.

The glucans' structure may vary, with mushrooms grown on grain substrate being rich in alpha-glucans and mushrooms grown on wood substrate being rich in beta-glucans.

The triterpenes in Ganoderma lucidum come from the use of wood as a substrate. Hence if Reishi has been cultivated on grain, it will have little or no triterpenes.

Our Organic Reishi Extract Powder is created through a process of extracting the fruiting bodies of the mushroom, which contain a higher concentration of active ingredients, including beta-D-glucans, rich polysaccharides, compared to those extracted from mycelium. Our temperature-controlled extraction technology expertly captures the functional components found within the mushroom cells, resulting in the highest levels of active nutrients. With an impressive 50% polysaccharides content, our Organic Reishi Extract Powder is also rich in triterpenes and polyphenols.

The extract ratio is between 15:1 to 17:1, one of the highest on the market. This means that we use 15kg of mushrooms to produce 1kg of extract powder. The higher the amount of mushrooms used, the more potent and beneficial the product is as you are getting all of the compounds and nutrients from 15kg as opposed to 5 – 7kg.

Our extract powder is equivalent to 6000mg of mushroom powder per capsule
