what is an activated nut?
We activate the hazelnuts to make them easier for digestion and for added crunch and flavour.
It involves soaking the nuts in water and some salt for a number of hours, then dehydrating them. It helps to remove the phytic acid, which can be harsh on the digestive system for many people.
