Traditionally used across Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, harissa is a staple ingredient for adding warmth and richness to stews, soups and tagines. This authentic paste is incredibly versatile and can be used to elevate everyday cooking with just a small amount.

Stir a spoonful into couscous or rice for an instant kick, or mix with mayonnaise to create a delicious spicy dip. Harissa also makes an excellent marinade—combine with honey or yoghurt, coat meat or vegetables, and marinate for at least one hour before cooking for maximum flavour.
