Our Lysine tablets contain the essential amino acid L-Lysine hydrochloride. Lysine is classed as an essential amino acid which means that it cannot be made in the body, but must be obtained from the diet. Typically found in small amounts in plants, lysine is naturally occurring mainly in animal protein and is needed for the production of carnitine, which helps the body metabolise fats. As those who follow a vegan diet may be deficient in this essential amino acid, we’ve ensured our formula is free from animal products.

This essential amino acid is needed to produce carnitine, which helps the body metabolise fats to produce energy, as well as collagen, the most abundant protein in the body. Ideal if you follow a plant-based diet or suffer from cold sores.
