How to Make Your Own Nut Milk

Making fresh nut milk at home is easy, delicious and completely natural — with no additives or preservatives.

You’ll need:
• 1 cup raw nuts (almonds, hazelnuts or cashews are ideal — organic if possible)
• 2 cups water (plus extra for soaking)
• Sweetener of choice (optional) — honey, maple syrup, agave or a couple of dates

Method:

1. Soak your nuts overnight in plenty of water.

2. Drain and rinse, then add to a blender with approx. 2 cups of fresh water.

3. Blend until smooth and creamy.

4. Strain through a food-grade nut milk bag to remove the pulp.

For a thinner or creamier consistency, simply adjust the water to taste.

Optional: Add sweetness or flavour boosters — such as dates, vanilla or cinnamon — before blending for a naturally sweet and delicious finish.
